The Spirit of the Position:

The Parking Lot Enforcement Agent provides operational support through upholding and enforcing the local parking ordinances while assisting customers with parking needs. The Parking Enforcement Agent will accurately key vehicle license plates utilizing a Handheld Ticket Issuance System to issue parking citations.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be willing to travel by foot to enforce timed parking throughout the parking lot

  • The Lot Enforcement Officer will uphold the company mission statement while creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and clients

  • This Lot Enforcement Officer will greet the public in a manner consistent with the LAZ Way, serving as a representative displaying honesty, integrity, accountability, and teamwork which includes excellent communication skills

  • Regular and punctual attendance is paramount to this position

  • Ensure all parkers are compliant in time zones

  • Communicate politely that the time zones are enforced

  • Report concerns or needs to direct supervisor if directly asked or in the case of an emergency

  • Be in correct LAZ Parking uniform, on time, and ready to work when scheduled

  • Work with and without supervision and follow directions of supervisors when requests are made

  • Keep parking location clean

  • Pick up miscellaneous trash

  • Inform all people loitering to move off property

  • Report graffiti or vandalism

  • Make sure there are no tripping hazards in the lot

  • Sweeping and changing signage when needed

  • Report concerns or needs to direct supervisor if directly asked or in the case of an emergency.

  • Be in correct LAZ Parking uniform, on time, and ready to work when scheduled.

  • Work with and without supervision and follow directions of supervisors when requests are made.

Experience:

  • Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.

  • Prior customer service experience is highly desired.

Skills:

  • Ability to mitigate and lead others to overcome challenges (Never Ever Give Up Attitude).

  • Ability to work independently and multi-task.

  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.

  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and timeliness.

  • Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view.

  • Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.

  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.

  • Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).

Physical Demands:

  • Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.

  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time (95-100% of shift) - no sitting is allowed.

  • Ability bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
