SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Housby is looking for a self-starter to join our Lot Team! This individual will be responsible for assisting with the overall lot coordination, including loading/unloading equipment/trucks/etc., and assisting with capturing accurate specs and pictures of incoming vehicle units.

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Complete check in process of all incoming new and used units.

  • Responsible for unlocking and locking facility gates at the beginning and end of each day.

  • Unload and load all Housby owned units in a safe and timely manner.

  • Assist customers with the loading and unloading of units.

  • Collect gate passes for Housby records upon customer arrival.

  • Jump start trucks, or charge batteries, as instructed.

  • Transport trucks to and from Housby locally, as needed.

  • Shuttle customers to and from final destinations, as needed.

  • Check anti-freeze levels on units parked in the lot and top off.

  • Assist with the detail and washing of unit interiors and exteriors by performing tasks such as vacuuming, washing windows, cleaning tire sidewalls, applying cleaning fluids, etc.

  • Capture accurate pictures and spec information for all requested units via a handheld tablet.

  • Assist with overall lot organization and documenting the location of units.

  • Complete yard and lawn upkeep on business premises when and as needed.

  • Complete snow removal and ice dispensing during the winter season.

  • Ability to remove and install tires, as needed.

  • Assist with de-identification along with fluid removal for scrap units, as needed.

  • Maintain a professional image at all times.

  • Must follow the Company's safety rules and policies.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Class A or B CDL is highly preferred but not required. Company will assist with obtaining CDL if needed.

  • Valid Driver's License with dependable transportation and a clean driving record.

  • Light mechanical aptitude highly preferred.

  • Able to operate a wheel loader, electrical hoist, forklift, and torch safely.

  • Preferably 1-2 years of previous experience working with and/or on heavy duty trucks/equipment.

  • Ability to spec trucks, take accurate pictures, and upload information using an tablet.

  • High accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to view a computer monitor and tablet screen.

  • Alpha/numeric keyboarding.

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

  • Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing, and pulling.

  • May require some evening hours and weekends.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The work environment for this position is varied due to the differences in our work site. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical, vibrations, fumes or airborne particles, toxic, and outside weather conditions.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to very loud.

  • Works indoors and out. Exposed to outside weather during all seasons.

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
