Operate under general supervision in providing loss mitigation consultation to servicers to reduce potential losses or foreclosure on delinquent loans. Assist in preparing reports. Perform research and analyses requested by management.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
Conduct training and customer development for servicers.
Respond to servicer inquiries via phone and email.
Collect and analyze data regarding servicer performance.
Promote the firm's products and services.
May collaborate with servicers to develop workout efficiency goals designed to improve loss mitigation production.
May determine servicer strengths and weaknesses in loss mitigation to include measurement of process efficiencies and management of default timelines.
May perform less complex projects or participate as a team member on more complex projects.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Business understanding of mortgage industry and industry terms required
Prior experience in a production environment (working from a queue of tasks/cases) is required
Communication skills Ability to communicate professionally at all levels with internal and external partners
Problem Solving Ability to identify operational and process issues, document and record escalated matters and collaborate to provide solutions. Able to assist with the implementation of process improvements as well as issue and track remediation
Results Oriented Able to focus and collaborate efforts to achieve results
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
