Loss Control Surveyor responsibilities:

  • Individually scheduling appointments with clients to obtain necessary information

  • Contacting clients and communicating via phone, email, and face to face discussions

  • Inspect commercial and residential properties for hazardous conditions

  • Evaluate operational and safety practices including exposures and hazards

  • Write recommendations for the reduction of losses

  • Submit reports via web-portal in checklist and narrative formatting

  • Adhere to customer requirements and quality standards

  • Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity


Qualifications for the ideal Independent Contractor:

  • Act with professionalism and urgency

  • Ability to observe and evaluate potentially hazardous conditions and write recommendations

  • Skills in time management, verbal/ written communications, and web-based applications

  • Background in construction, safety, fire safety and risk services beneficial

  • Requires basic knowledge and education in safety inspections on commercial or residential properties

VIEW JOBS 1/8/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-08T00:00 PURPOSE OF THE JOB This position is responsible for the quality control of all deposit related new and change file maintenance. Monitors for new account supporting documentation received and archived into the bank's cold storage system. Verifies all new and change maintenance made to customer and account data to ensure accuracy in the core operating system. MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB * Support Retail Staff with products and services, who may contact the Deposit Services Department either by phone or email. * Answers all incoming phone inquiries regarding products and services professionally and enthusiastically in accordance with established policies and procedures. * Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Quality Control of deposit related accounts. * Importing and archiving new account and maintenance change documentation into the bank's cold storage system. * Maintain the Deposit New Account Exceptions report for incorrect or missing new account documentation and account coding in core system. * Examining file maintenance changes to customer's name, address and account data records. Ensure supporting documentation has been received from Retail staff and saved into the cold storage system. * Maintain the Deposit File Maintenance Exceptions report for incorrect or missing supporting documentation for all customer and account data changes in core system. * Monitor exceptions on a daily basis for clearing exception items for a new account and file maintenance changes. * Internal Department quality control monitored and recorded on a daily basis. Ensure supporting documentation is obtained and has been saved into the cold storage system. * Produce daily checks for distribution by the Deposit Services Department. Maintain inventory of checks for BPM, COD, and Savings. * Serve as back up for Items Processing (branch capture/SCO processing), Deposit Collections and other processes performed in Deposit Services. WHAT WILL YOU NEED TO SUCCEED * High School Diploma or equivalent required or * Previous experience in opening new accounts in a financial institution preferred. * A minimum of 2 years banking experience or applicable experience in Deposit Services preferred. KNOWLEDGE OF… * Excellent knowledge of bank's products. * Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures. * Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. * Maintain knowledge of bank's procedures and regulations. * Effective customer service procedures and practices for both internal and external customers. SKILLS PERFORMED… * Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to diagnose, resolve or escalate a critical situation. * Excellent reading and comprehension skills including policies, procedures, regulations, instructions, correspondences, and memos. * Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
