Overview

The Loss Control Engineer is responsible for supporting the agency by providing an overall assessment of risk for renewal and new business prospects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform loss control surveys of property and casualty exposures, accident investigations and client-based consultative services, including evaluations of risk management programs and safety procedures.

  • Provide loss control support and education to Producers and support staff in regions.

  • Successfully provide subject matter expertise during the Johnson Advantage Process regarding loss control risk assessment.

  • Assist Producers in the development and execution of marketing campaigns for targeted prospects.

JOB REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Risk Management and Insurance, Business Management, Industrial or Environmental Engineering, Occupational/Industrial Safety and Health, or related field, required.

  • A professional Risk Management designation or willingness to attain a professional designation within 24 months required.

  • Three years of safety or property/casualty insurance experience, preferably with a multi-line commercial insurance carrier, required.

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.

  • Ability to travel.
