DirectEd is seeking substitute teachers for long term assignments in the greater Sacramento area. Assignments are based on the needs of our partner schools, and may vary in duration throughout the school year. This is a valuable opportunity to network with schools, and to expand your skills as an educator.
Minimum Requirements to Apply
Bachelor's degree in any field
30-day Substitute Teacher Permit OR California K-12 teaching credential
Available a minimum of 8 school days a month
Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements listed above will not be considered.
Who you are
A Substitute Teacher who can implement effective teaching methods and facilitate learning by following or creating a lesson plan. You are skilled at classroom management and can provide detailed reports and communication to school staff. You maintain a safe and positive classroom environment for all students. You are someone who is comfortable and adaptable to working with diverse student populations and schools. You have the ability to develop lesson plans and assess student progress.
