Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher

(This is a vacancy due to a leave of absence)

Furnace Brook Middle School

STARTING DATE:

Approximately November 12, 2024 until approximately January 3, 2025

SALARY:

$125.00 per day for first 20 days; (Bachelors, Step 1) $307.20 per day starting 21st day

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP OR LINE OF AUTHORITY:

Directly responsible to Special Education Department Head, Building Principal, and Assistant Superintendent Student Services

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's preferred;
• MA DESE License: Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (5-12) required;
• Ability to develop and implement behavioral plans and Individualized Education Programs;
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, strong parent communication skills, ability to conduct behavioral assessments/observations.
