Location: Avon High School/Avon Middle School
Position: Special Education Long Term Substitute Teacher with Wilson Reading System experience
Qualifications: CT Certification in Special Education and Wilson Training Level 1 or higher and experience with Spire. Candidate must possess knowledge of providing individualized and/or small group instruction in Wilson Reading to students at a variety of levels through the use of the prescriptive instructional and assessment materials. Must have knowledge of IEP development with goals and objectives aligned to the Common Core. Flexibility is a must.
Responsibilities: Teach learning centers, co-teach academic classes, manage student case loads
Terms of Employment: Position to begin on or about May 6, 2024 and end on June 12, 2024, the last day of the 2023-2024 school year.

Minimum of two letters of recommendation written within last two years. Minimum of Bachelors degree required, copy of college transcripts, and teaching certificate.
