Additional Information:

Position: Special Education Teacher- ESY (Half-Days)

Qualifications: Candidates must meet criteria for employment within a CT public school as a Special Education Teacher and hold a CT certification in special education

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor student progress in accordance with IEP.

  • Complete progress reports at the conclusion of ESY.

  • Plan and implement specially designed instruction for students in accordance with their IEPs.

  • Collaborate with related service providers and paraprofessionals

  • Provide direct instruction/support for students requiring special education.

  • Supervise one/multiple paraprofessional.

Terms of Employment: Position will begin on July 1, 2024 through July 25, 2024 Monday-Thursday 8:45-12:15 Salary and benefits in accordance with Agreement Between The Board of Education And The Avon Education Association.
