Title/Position: Long-Term Substitute Computer Science Teacher (.67 FTE)

Position Summary:
Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School seeks a qualified .67 FTE Long-Term Substitute Computer Science Teacher to cover a leave of absence for the 2024-2025 school year. Our Computer Science Department offers a variety of courses including Introduction to Programming, Game Programming, and AP Computer Science Principles. Our courses stress algorithmic thinking and a project-based approach to learning.

Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):

• Teach a mix of computer science classes

• Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the LS community

• Plans lessons that meet the individual needs, interests and abilities of the students

• Creates a classroom environment that is inclusive and productive, and maintains appropriate standards of classroom behavior

• Provides timely and appropriate feedback to students, with progress reports as needed

• Communicates with parents to discuss student progress

• Pursues professional growth through activities in and out of school

• Cooperates with other professional staff in supporting student learning

• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred from an accredited college or university

• Licensed, or eligible for licensure in Digital Literacy/Computer Science license (grades 5-12) by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, to include Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement

Experience Preferred:

• 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred

• High School teaching experience preferred
