Job Summary

The District is in need of a long term substitute teacher in RSP. A typical day would include, but is not limited to: working intervention, small caseloads, possible annual IEPs and conferences. The applicant hired for this position will begin on August 20, 2024. This assignment is scheduled through December 19, 2024, but could be shortened or extended. Once the RSP long term position ends, the applicant will remain on the substitute list for day-to-day assignments and other long term opportunities.

Requirements / Qualifications

To apply for the position of Long Term RSP Substitute Teacher you must meet one of the minimum requirements below AND satisfy the basic skills requirement (e.g. CBEST or CSET Writing Skills or CSU Early Assessment Program or Qualifying Score on the SAT/ACT or College Board Advanced Placement or passage of Basic Skills from Another State or Requirement by Coursework): -Mild/Moderate Credential OR Be eligible to apply for a Short-Term Staff Permit (STSP) with one of the following requirements: -Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies OR -Verify a minimum of three years of successful full-time classroom experience with special education students OR -Verify the equivalent of three years of successful full-time experience in part-time experience with special education students (experience as an aide is acceptable) OR -Verify a minimum of nine semester units of course work in special education or in a combination of special education and general education

Comments and Other Information

SALARY The daily salary ranges from $185-$205 daily. In addition to the daily rate, all long term assignments will add an additional $15.00 per day. All School Readiness Preschool Teacher assignments will add an additional $10.00 per day. BENEFITS Medical benefits are not offered to substitute staff.
