We are currently seeking a Long Term Recovery Information and Planning Manager. This temporary, work from home position is expected to last 18 months with the possibility of an extension and can be located anywhere in the US.
The Long Term Recovery Information and Planning Manager will coordinate systems and data across long term recovery operations from fall 2017; Hurricanes Maria, Irma, Harvey, and the California Wildfires with potential to support additional disasters during their tenure. The Long Term Recovery Information and Planning Manager will develop monitoring tools and dashboards to assist leadership oversee budgets and make adjustments as necessary to operational priorities.
The Long Term Recovery Information and Planning Manager oversees national level long term recovery operations Systems and Data staff. This position is responsible for the following IT systems in meeting programmatic direction and intent: CAN-Recovery system, grants programs and GMIS (Grants Management Information System), and Salesforce tools for client management and inquiries. The Long Term Recovery Information and Planning Manager is responsible for reports to senior leadership of long term recovery operation activities.
Supports long term recovery operations directors with weekly touch base conversations to determine operational needs and approve programmatic shifts. Coordinates planning, system improvements/issue resolution and data integrity across all long term recovery operations.
Collaborates with internal stakeholders such as Finance, Audit, Risk, Communications, and others responsible for planning, stand up and initial coordination of future long term recovery operations.
Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a standardized long-term recovery reporting dashboard.
Accountable for accurate and timely information according to defined customer and stakeholder requirements.
Assists the long term recovery operations in monitoring and communicating project-specific or overall program performance.
Supports long term recovery operations with doctrine and policy strategies and development.
Participates in continuous review and update to ensure that processes meet changing business unit conditions.
Accountable for day to day management and support of long term recovery national programs including systems, analytics and reporting on grants management and the disaster case management/individual disaster case management programs.
Accountable for day to day management and support of long term recovery systems and platforms including: GMIS, P&I, and CAN (including accurate data migration from CAS).
Works with long term recovery operations and internal stakeholders to develop short- and long-term system plans.
Supports the build out of recovery volunteer positions and integration with existing volunteer structure.
Performs periodic recovery program site visits to support ongoing planning, monitoring, evaluation, training, and other activities as needed.
Contributes to developing and supporting Recovery initiatives and attends events as required.
Engages and manages volunteers to support long term recovery operations at all levels.

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
Experienced in Long Term Recovery and Disaster Operations Management. Familiarity with disaster case management processes; and the support structures and capacities of the Red Cross chapter network, disaster operations, and volunteer workforce.
Ability to work in a matrixed management environment and effectively coordinate activities of multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
Experience: a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience and 1-3 years supervisory experience.
Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, handle and prioritize multiple tasks. Identifies and resolves problems and/or develops alternative solutions. Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
Other: Advanced level proficiency with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must be comfortable handling large data sets using pivot tables and have experience crafting complex formulas. Must have experience using online webinar software for training purposes.
