Role Value Proposition: In this role as an extension of the organizational leadership team you will partner with Unit Leaders to meet individual, team and office goals for quality, timeliness, customer service and staff development by providing technical assistance and coaching to disability claims professionals.
Provides real-time coaching, mentoring, and direction to ensure associates are making the right decision in a timely manner supported by proper documentation and with effective communication.
Acts as department subject matter expert for claim, technical, and contractual related topics.
Effectivity performs reviews of new and ongoing claims to drive accurate and favorable claim outcomes.
Identifies performance issues and/or trends and provides Unit Leader with feedback and fact based data on individuals progress, performance and opportunities.
Partners with Learning & Development and Documentation team on work instruction and office training in addition to supporting mentor and trainee programs.
Performs other related duties at the discretion of the business such as but not limited to caseload management and influencing and promoting organizational initiatives and messaging.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills
5+ years Disability claims and/or clinical experience.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbal
High School Diploma/GED
Excellent analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
Bachelors Degree/Associates degree Preferred
