Role Value Proposition: In this role as an extension of the organizational leadership team you will partner with Unit Leaders to meet individual, team and office goals for quality, timeliness, customer service and staff development by providing technical assistance and coaching to disability claims professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides real-time coaching, mentoring, and direction to ensure associates are making the right decision in a timely manner supported by proper documentation and with effective communication.

  • Acts as department subject matter expert for claim, technical, and contractual related topics.

  • Effectivity performs reviews of new and ongoing claims to drive accurate and favorable claim outcomes.

  • Identifies performance issues and/or trends and provides Unit Leader with feedback and fact based data on individuals progress, performance and opportunities.

  • Partners with Learning & Development and Documentation team on work instruction and office training in addition to supporting mentor and trainee programs.

  • Performs other related duties at the discretion of the business such as but not limited to caseload management and influencing and promoting organizational initiatives and messaging.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years Disability claims and/or clinical experience.

  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbal

  • Leadership skills

  • High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical, decision making and problem solving skills

  • Highly self-motivated

  • Bachelors Degree/Associates degree Preferred

VIEW JOBS 4/13/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-12T00:00 Job Description Health care professional responsible for real-time data collection and intra-operative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) of a patient's nervous system throughout surgery. In addition, he/she must establish and maintain open cooperation and communication with the surgical team, which includes interaction with the surgeon. Additional responsibilities include pre-operative patient assessments and postoperative billing uploads. The Emerging Markets Long Term Traveler Specialist role is an excellent opportunity to work in service markets throughout the U.S. while participating in various market development and support initiatives. Team members relocate approximately every 3-6 months while in this role. The commitment is 24 months, with the option to remain on the Emerging Markets team or cycle off into a market with an open position once their commitment has been met. Essential Responsibilities: * Consult with the surgeon regarding structures at risk and modalities to be monitored. * Interact with the patient, when applicable, to obtain a detailed history and clearly explain the neurophysiological tests to be performed. * Accurate placement of stimulating and recording electrodes using the 10-20 system of electrode placement * Display and label waveforms for marking, measuring and calculating information such as latencies, amplitudes and conduction times following established guidelines and protocols * Identify appropriate protocol and perform troubleshooting techniques to assure accurate data collection * Communicate with the surgeon and surgical team throughout the case to relay monitoring information * Complete all required documentation and accurately prepare all IONM logs, files, and uploads * Maintain equipment in proper working order and conduct required maintenance checks. * Deliver services according to Company procedures/standards. Other: * Time management and organizational skills. * Ability to participate in hospital in-service programs, professional meetings and seminars. * Continually advance skill set by reading books, professional journal articles, and online training materials. * Participate in research opportunities. * Ability to adapt to change in the work environment, manage competing demands and deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. * Ability to handle the demands of regular travel. * Must be able to effectively communicate (in English) with the surgeon and surgical staff. * Ability to maintain professional and positive relationships with surgeons/hospitals. * Proactively check/maintain a schedule on a daily basis.
