Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay is hiring a Full Time Long-Term Care Unit Manager RN for The Hoy Center.
The Hoy Center encompasses Westminster Canterbury's long-term care (LTC), rehab, and pre-hab services.

As the Long Term Care Manager, you will lead our efforts in ensuring exceptional clinical care and fostering an environment of empathy, dignity, and professionalism among our dedicated team.
Responsibilities:
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the comprehensive care of residents across our long-term care units, with a special emphasis on our memory care unit. Your responsibilities will include providing clinical support, guidance, and oversight to ensure that each resident receives personalized nursing care that respects their individual needs and preferences.
While you will not have direct reports, you will serve as a beacon of leadership and excellence, setting the standard for compassionate care and collaborative teamwork. Your leadership will empower our team to excel in delivering the highest quality of care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
You will champion person-centered care within the memory care unit, creating an environment that honors the dignity and uniqueness of each resident. Through innovative care strategies such as the Montessori method and Pathways to Engagement, you will enhance resident well-being and foster meaningful connections.
Requirements for Success:
To excel in this role, you must possess a profound sense of purpose and dedication to improving the lives of residents in long-term care, particularly those with dementia. Your ability to work independently and collaboratively under the guidance of WCCB leadership will be essential. Effective communication skills will enable you to articulate instructions, resolve conflicts with compassion, and advocate for the needs of residents and team members alike.
Current RN licensure or BSN
Minimum of three years' clinical experience, preferably in long-term care settings
Minimum of three years' experience in a supervisory or management role, demonstrating leadership and team development
Proficiency in computer skills, including Electronic Health and Medical Systems, and office software
Physical stamina to navigate our facility, including climbing stairs and standing for extended periods
