Position Summary

The Long Form Video Investment Strategist will have strong skills planning quarterly long form media campaigns, analyzing, tracking, and reporting for multiple DRTV campaigns that support client business objectives in a fast-paced environment with a heavy focus on DRTV within the following platforms: local TV, national cable, digi network and satellite. They must also be comfortable interacting with, and in many cases, leading client, and new business communications re: Media rationale, planning and strategy. We are looking for a go-getter with the desire to advance his/her media career through the opportunity to learn new skills, acquire more responsibility and get greater client contact in a smaller, entrepreneurial agency. Traditional planning, buying, and optimizing skills in a linear TV environment is critical to this role.

Responsibilities

  • Use in-depth knowledge of media buying to develop long form media plans with strong rationale using national cable, digi network, local and satellite schedules to meet client requirements in linear television.

  • Manage schedule clearance and preemptions accurately and within budget.

  • Create Flowcharts and analysis around campaign initiatives that support client goals and KPIs.

  • Deliver timely buying goals by product to team members.

  • Lead and mentor junior buying team members (Associate Buyers & Assistant Buyers).

  • Interact regularly with clients and, as needed and appropriate, running point as client buying.

  • Demonstrate and utilize clear understanding on maximizing client budgets through optimizing media schedules based on clients KPIs (i.e., budgetary, ratings, impressions, CPC, Conversion, CPO/ratio).

  • Analyze, track, and report campaign results on a daily/weekly basis.• Create and deliver routine campaign performance reports to clients.Evaluate and communicate new media opportunities regularly.

  • Cultivate and maintain solid relationships with media vendors. Represent Involved Media and its clients professionally and appropriately.

  • Analyze multiple sources of internal and external data to assist buying decisions.

  • Keep apprised on media trends and formulate sound POVs on marketplace conditions in TV and Video.

  • Conduct associated accounting related functions, including review/approval of media vendor invoices.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities but will require oversight of assigned buying team on specific media campaigns.

The salary for this position is $80K-$120K. The successful candidate's salary will depend on actual ranges of current employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, geography, as well as the candidate's skill set, level of experience, and qualifications. Qualifications

We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, hardworking professional with excellent communication and time management skills.

  • Minimum requirement of 5+ years experience in long form media planning and media strategy.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis, a must.

  • Keen understanding of media math principles required.

  • High skills required in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

  • Proficiency in Core buying software strongly preferred.

  • Strong familiarity with media research tools such as MRI, Nielsen, SQAD, etc., required.

  • Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Possess solid communication skills- comfortable communicating internally with the team and externally with clients and media vendors.

  • Demonstration of top-notch organizational skills required - deadline driven, with a focus on quality deliverables.

  • Ability to work both independently and within the group seamlessly on tasks and projects.

Travel

This position does not require regularly scheduled travel.
