Our Vision for this Role
As the Logistics Vendor Operations Manager you will lead enabling the operations teams to focus on execution of moving merchandise through the supply chain by supporting all exception management of vendors, carriers, stores, merchants and 3rd party business partners. You will liaise with all operational logistics functions and other business partners to proactively solve problems and support flow of merchandise to our stores.
You will have a metric, process and efficiency focus, looking for opportunities to address reoccurring inquires in a more efficient manner. Your team is a critical part of our supply chain network, supporting the flow of goods from around the globe to our U.S. stores; getting the right product, to the right place, at the right time. Working in a fast-paced retail business, no day will be the same!
The Skills that will make you successful
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in operations management, with 2+ years of supervisory experience.
Aptitude for manipulating and making inferences from data, and has a metric, process and efficiency focus.
Ability to develop new tools and processes to support TJX global supply chain goals and objectives.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
Operational acumen and understanding of supply chain and/or logistics preferred.
Experience with project management; maintains a high attention to detail and ability to manage timelines.
Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment; product moves quickly through our supply chain network, it is important to react quickly to incoming requests.
Strong problem solving skills; no day is the same in off-price retail, the ability to assess situations quickly and provide alternate solutions is key to success.
Excellent communicator and business partner who is able to influence internal and external partners at all levels of the organization.
Flexible and adaptable; priorities change frequently based on business demands, the ability to change direction quickly is critical.
The Responsibilities you will have
Identifies opportunities to address issues proactively; promotes self-service and actions to resolve issues upstream; works with other logistics leaders and business partners to implement.
Serves as an escalation point for issue resolution and stakeholder feedback.
Reviews inquiry themes, resolution times, and other performance metrics.
Performs quality assurance audits; addresses opportunities through training, coaching, SOP development, etc.
Identifies scope, formulate plans and implement processes to support operational areas.
Manages, coaches, and mentors direct reports and develops them for future growth within the function and organization.
Oversees performance and professional development of Associates with the Vendor and Buyer Management organization.
Oversees Logistics Services Representative activities including:
Reslution of inquiries and issues submitted through the channel.
Granting system access.
