Logistics Technician Level II- Equipment Management Support (ATEC-19-1054-W)

Bowhead is seeking a Logistics Technician II (Equipment Management Support) for its ATC program in Aberdeen, MD. The Logistics Technician II shall perform support functions within the scope of equipment management programs including review and approval of equipment regulations and standard operating procedures; perform equipment management tasks which include but are not limited to:

TDA, Technical Exhibits, Equipment Surveys, Equipment Usage Reviews, New Equipment Processing, Life Cycle Plans, Key Control, Fuel Key Control, NonTactical Vehicle Management, GSA Vehicle and Budget Management, Dispatching, Fleet Utilization, and Inspections. The Logistics Technician II shall maintain files, manuals, and reports IAW Internal Controls, AR 190-11, AR 71-32, AR 58-1, AR 710-2, AR 725-50, AR 735-5, DA Pam710-2-1, DA PAM 710-2-2; SB 700-20, FEDLOG and LIS user's manual.

The Logistics Technician II shall provide technical assistance to customers for all vehicle and equipment requirements to satisfy test support missions. The Logistics Technician II shall be responsible for recording all equipment records and data collection into an established electronic location for all services performed IAW regulations.

Requirements Three (3) years of applicable experience in the appropriate logistical functional area pertinent to the position (Equipment Management, Maintenance Management Property Management); or at least 60 credit hours or an Associate's Degree and one (1) year applicable experience pertinent to the position; or 30 credit hours and two (2) years applicable experience pertinent to the position; or completion of a formal training program of at least 30 days in duration and one (1) year of applicable experience pertinent to the position.

  • Valid state Driver's License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.

  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

This position works as part of a team, using automated systems for warehousing, tracking, logging, verifying and reporting of resources between the point of origin and point of destination. The specialist will operate a motor vehicle and a forklift as well as maintain the warehouse and vehicles in compliance with fire, safety, sanitation and security regulations. Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: * Pack, mark and coordinate materials and equipment for shipping to other DoD organizations using computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting * Prepare documents and verify condition and quantity of materials handled for receipt, turn-in, issue and shipment * Coordinate transportation with commercial, military freight and parcel carriers for shipping and receiving * Perform inventory management using Contractor Property Management System and Government Furnished Information Systems to optimize supply levels at the warehouse and operational sites * Use Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS) such as the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system * Update maintenance reports with depot repair description and shipping or receiving dates for equipment returning from depot maintenance * Safeguard Cold-Chain Management and Temperature Sensitive Medical Products (TSMP), Class I and Class II controlled substances * Count quantities, quality, specification requirements, damages and loss in shipment against received transportation documents and sign freight bills * Select proper storage locations for items based on information shown on receiving vouchers, then stack and palletize items without instructions on the method or procedures to be used * Assemble items, load and unload trucks manually by handcarts and other non-mechanized conveyances or by operation of a forklift * Operate 2K Forklift; operate electric, gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles (GVW not to exceed Class 6) or other equipment with air brakes * Drive vehicles to transport supplies, materials, equipment, flammable, corrosive and hazardous materials or tools over public roads * Pick up and deliver hazardous chemicals and supplies from supporting organization's warehouses * Assure that cargo is properly located, distributed and secured in the vehicle for balance and stability Experience and Skills Experience / Knowledge: * Minimum High School Diploma or GED required * Experience working with Commercial Industry or DoD military and civilian customers * Military experience desired; familiarity with DoD automated systems and logistics processes * Preference to Forklift Operator Certification * Motor Vehicle License: ability to attain and maintain * 3 years direct work experience Skills: * Ability to read and understand regulations, instructions, stock tags and box markings; write accurate shipping and receiving documents * Communication skills to report overages, shortages or damage conditions to team lead * Solid time management skills to meet deadlines * Multi-tasking capabilities; handling multiple and parallel projects * Ability to perform duties and take initiative with minimal supervision * MS Office Programs: Word, Excel; Outlook and SharePoint a plus * Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly to populate storage racks, load vehicles and organize pallets of materials Government Clearance Requirement: * Active Public Trust or higher Work Location: * Client site in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD Benefits About Knowesis Founded in 2007, Knowesis Inc. has been providing data driven decisions and solutions to federal healthcare clients from day one.
