Logistics Supervisor II

Job Description BAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 Company, is hiring a Logistics Supervisor II for our GOCO (government owned contractor operated) facilities located in Radford, VA . This role will report to the Radford Logistics Manager. Successful candidate should be skilled in inventory control and materials management.

This position is 100% on-site at Radford, VA location.

Location/Travel/Schedule:

• This position will require up to 10% of travel.

• Supervise union and/or non-union logistics employees.

• Develop and manage cycle count process.

• Develop and manage inventory metrics.

• Support the classification of inventory.

• Implement inventory reduction process.

• Work with Operations/Maintenance to ensure continuity of supply of parts.

• Collaborate with Purchasing & Planning to ensure appropriate min/max levels.

• Ensure Government Property compliance as it relates to inventory.

• Ability to lead and/or support continuous improvement projects.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

• Ability to support a fast-paced, deadline -oriented environment.

• Ability to remain motivated and meet program objectives.

• Good communication skills

• Experience in MS Office

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Good communication and team building skills.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Materials

• Knowledge of federal regulations related to inventory control.

• Previous management experience.

• Experience working in a GOCO environment.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $71600 - $121700

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
