JOB SUMMARY:

Accountable for supervising the daily operations of the Logistics Department including document preparation and traffic coordination required to correctly process inbound consolidations in a cost-efficient manner and within defined standards. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide responsible supervision and control for all department activities.

  • Develop and maintain excellent service to internal and external customers.

  • Set up files for all documents and records relevant to the consolidation.

  • Receive, review, and process inbound documentation for an assigned base of accounts.

  • Provide written quotations as requested by customers.

  • Ensure Customer Profile information is entered and updated in system.

  • Manage pre-alerts daily to determine whether freight is arriving as expected.

  • Follow-up with carriers to confirm arrival time, and notify customer of status.

  • Ensure documents reach branch within one working day of freight arrival.

  • Provide training and quality management activities to assigned staff

  • Conduct annual performance reviews for all staff within department.

  • Address all employee performance problems promptly and directly in accordance with personnel policies.

Knowledge, Experience &

Skills:

Education & Certifications

  • High School Degree or GED required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred; or an equivalent combination of work experience and completion of the LDP Program.

  • Minimum four years related experience.

  • Minimum three years industry experience preferred.

  • Minimum one year supervisory and/or lead experience required.

Communication Skills

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees and customers.

  • PC literate.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.

Other Skills

  • Basic understanding of business financial principles including P & L's, budgets, payroll, financial reporting and expense control.

Working "from farm to shelf," you'll connect plants with customers to deliver best-in-class service in the most efficient way. Your goal will be to have the right products, at the right time, and with the right quantity and quality on the shelf. Primary Responsibilities * Lead warehouse/delivery team. Supervise and develop warehouse/develop personnel. Maintain facilities and assets. * Develop daily tactical plans in support of the business strategy by reviewing and approving processes in inventory management in SAP as well as executing shipment overall over/short procedures in SAP. * Ensure finished product inventory is handled and distributed efficiently. Review and identify issues from daily productivity reports. Seek resolution of problems. * Review daily routing and labor levels to deploy resources and manage appropriate expense categories to budget. * Review all branch KPI's on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure goal attainment is achieved in accordance with the facility site plan and annual operating budget. * Staff and evaluate personnel and provide on-going feedback about personnel capabilities/development along with providing regular field supervision to assigned drivers. * Train and develop on best work practices, inventory management transactions, goal setting and team building as well as safety and environmental programs. * Purchase and/or maintain facility equipment and supplies for daily operations as well as maintain environmental programs, as required. * Implement facility safety programs to meet governmental standards. * Review all delivery performance measurements to include OBC, roadshow, HHT logs, and DOM. * Ensure all DOT standards are performed and the facility is in compliance with such standards. * Maintain all work standards and assignments within the boundaries of union contractual agreements (if applicable). * Minimum of 2 years of Field Logistics experience (recommended but not required) * Organizational ability * Team/people development * Creativity * Patience * Understanding of Consumer Goods industry * Educational Background in Business Logistics or Related Field (4-year degree required) Mondelēz Global LLC is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
