Position Overview:

We are seeking a Logistics Specialists that will play a critical role in analyzing and improving our domestic and international freight operations. This candidate quires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of logistics operations. Responsible for optimizing transportation processes, identifying cost savings opportunities, and overseeing freight providers and assets globally. The Logistics Specialist will collaborate closely with internal teams, external partners, and carriers to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of products. This role requires an analytical mindset, problem solving skills, and understanding of local/federal trade laws and regulations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, route, and monitor global shipments from suppliers to warehouses, and warehouses to end-customers, that are on-time delivery and damage free.

  • Analyze transportation data, including freight costs, carrier performance, and transit times, to identify opportunities for cost savings and service improvements.

  • Act as primary coordinator and first point of contact withing the business unit for inquiries on logistics, freight rates, carrier selection and shipment scheduling.

  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track logistics performance and monitor progress against targets.

  • Collaborate with transportation providers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders and partner with management to negotiate rates, contracts, and service level agreements.

  • Optimize transportation routes, modes, and carriers to minimize costs while ensuring on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Assist in the implementation of logistics technology solutions to streamline operations and improve visibility across the supply chain.

  • Responsible for review and establishment of best practices, new process creation, standardization and publication of business processes that comply with safety, delivery, and economical routings for the business.

  • Support cross-functional teams in identifying and implementing process improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and supply chain optimization projects.

  • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to logistics and supply chain management.

  • Review and audit freight invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contractual terms.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field is preferred but not required.

  • 3-5 years Logistics transportation both internationally and domestically.

  • Proficiency with data analytics tools and software such as Excel, MS Office, ERP Systems.

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.

  • Detail-oriented mindset and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.

  • In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, export controls, customs procedures, and trade compliance best practices

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with various cross functional teams.
