The Work You'll Do:
Active, growing wine & spirits importer and back-office service provider seeks top-notch employee to join our logistics team. In this role you will coordinate the import of ocean containers, airfreight and overland shipments from around the world, and domestic transfers and inbounds from suppliers across North America. You will interact with freight forwarders, customs brokers, truckers and 3PL warehouses, as well as international and domestic wineries and distilleries and their local representatives, to ensure timely and accurate transport, clearance and receipt of product. Logistics is at the core of what we do as a company and integral to our clients' success.

More specifically, you will:
Obtain shipping quotes with international freight forwarders and domestic truckers
Reconcile shipping documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and seamless Customs clearance
Monitor international container shipments from origin to final destination
Liaise with our US Customs broker on ISF, FDA, CBMA, and clearance processes
Maintain records for international and domestic inbound shipments
Troubleshoot Customs, port, and domestic freight issues
Provide updates to clients on the status of inbound shipments
Create and receive purchase orders in ERP system
Manage inbound inventory data (identify existing SKUs and set up new SKUs for inbound POs)
Coordinate inbound deliveries and receiving with our warehouse partners
Arrange local and cross-country domestic freight for supplier pickups, warehouse transfers, and RTVs
Work closely with order and inventory departments to ensure timely and accurate product flow
Track and resolve shipping-related inventory issues (mis-ships, returns, corrections)
Process inventory adjustments on inbound POs (damage, loss, SKU change, etc.)
Assist with reconciling inventory records to identify and resolve variances
What We Need From You
Prior experience in import/export and/or domestic logistics is preferred
Experience with customer service and client interaction
Excellent attention to detail
Accurate and efficient data entry
Consistent follow-up and follow-through on time-sensitive issues
A team-oriented mindset
Strong oral and written communication skills; able to type 45 WPM
Ability to field a high volume of emails and other communications
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and Outlook
