Summary

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for providing Supply Chain support to our global industry and regional business teams.

  • Compensation : The annual salary for this position ranges up to $55,000 based on experience level (paid bi-monthly)

  • Schedule : M-F 1st shift Hybrid (1 day/week Wednesdays in Novi office)

  • Involvement in client production launches that may, on occasion, run simultaneously.

  • Facilitation and Leading of Internal Launch Project Meetings to review Task Items that lead to successful client launches. These will run from begin to closure which may run up to 52-weeks in duration.

  • Participation in ongoing client Launch Project Meetings, which coincide with those Internal Meetings for the same, to ensure milestones are being met by the team.

  • Facilitate Communication between all Internal Departments while also providing updates to client project owners, as needed or directed.

  • Provide support to other Internal Departments within -4 Weeks of Project Launch. (This occurs as assistance to prepare for the actual Transportation Start of materials into client locations for production purposes.)

  • Assist in the Development of, Moderate and Lead Launch Project Presentations to the client, as needed.

  • Skills and Abilities as listed below to aid in the creation and monitoring of Launch Project progress, final Presentation materials and assistance to the team in assuring successful transportation start-up for client production.

  • Collaborate on finding and enhancing processes for Continuous Improvement of future Launch Projects.

  • Anticipate 20% Travel may be necessary for Launch Project Management within North America

  • Must possess excellent communication skills, project management skills, time management/calendar management skills, strong attention to detail, and advanced level skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Essential Functions

  • Involvement in the sales process: work with sales and operations to develop concepts, implementation of their designs and assisting operations management with continuous improvement. Specifically, this position will provide proposal support, data gathering and analysis and acquire product knowledge. Position will adhere to process methodologies

  • Involvement in the design and engineering of supply chain services that include Network Analysis, Transportation, Distribution Management, Strategy, multi-client and Process Management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required Industrial Engineering or Business

  • One (1) year or more Industry related experience required
