Logistics Specialist II

Overview

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Support test directors, engineers and others who plan and execute test and evaluation projects for the directorate.• Regular communication and feedback with the customer will be required to confirm that all testing procedures are followed by the organization's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and safety protocols.• Provide test status updates weekly and monthly for all scheduled / non-scheduled testing including ammunition pick-ups and deliveries.• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual inventories for property accountability.• Create hand receipts for all government equipment.• Deliver automatic data processing equipment to all divisions within the organization.• Use the automated Supply Tracking System (ASTS) for accounting of organizational equipment and supplies.• Maintain all administrative supply and supporting document files.• Assist with adding procurements in organization's workflow.• Operate in accordance with Army Regulation (AR) 710-2, AR 710-2-1, AR 750-43, AR 735-5, AR 700-131, and DA Pamphlet 738-750.• Proficient using Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, Word, as well as other Microsoft Office suite of tools and experience using SharePoint.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have HS/GED.

• Minimum of one to two (1 - 2) years' experience working within the area of unit supply operations, large inventory maintenance, property management, administration and Army equipment calibration.

• Possess knowledge of inventory management, shipping, receiving, transportation, storage, turn-in, property accountability, and supply procedures and regulations.

• The individual must be familiar with AR 735-5. This regulation governs accountability, documentation, and coding of Army property. The individual shall have a demonstrated knowledge of the Army calibration system and have a working understanding of current IT as applied to property accountability.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
