Job Description:

Candidates will be considered for a Logistics Specialist I or Logistics Specialist II position based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience, and responsibility requirements for the position.

The Logistics Specialist I/II will perform a variety of technical and business tasks in support of the Shipping/Traffic functions for both operations and engineering materials.

The Logistics Specialist I/II will be required to manage multiple types of shipments and direct personnel on associated tasks. The day to day responsibilities listed below are necessary in order to meet program costs and schedule requirements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Meeting on time deliverables including program costs and scheduling requirements.

  • Prioritizing daily workloads

  • Communicating directly with internal and external customers

  • Capture and record performance metrics

  • Maintain training records

  • Evaluate cost saving opportunities

  • Consistently maintaining a safe work environment

Required Skills:

  • 4 year degree from an accredited University in Business Administration, Business Management, Commerce, Finance, Supply Chain or related field applicable to the job function

  • 2 years' experience in a logistics, supply chain or related field

  • Experience presenting to large groups

  • Knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel and Word

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for data analysis

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
