Ecolab, the leading global developer of premium cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance products and services for the hospitality, institutional and industrial markets is seeking a Logistics Specialist who will be responsible for data entry, cycle counts, researching, and correcting inventory errors. Incumbents in this position will also be asked to assist the logistics team with problem pick tickets and warehouse location accuracies.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform data entry to release, move into location, or adjust inventory through the use of computer software

  • Address departmental paperwork and conduct physical searches/researches of missing products

  • Assist in researching discrepancies on cycle counts

  • Assist shipping departments with problem pick tickets

  • Track departmental data and generate applicable reports as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.

Position Details:

  • Plant location: Grapevine, TX

  • Work week & shift: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday (6:00am-2:00pm); overtime as needed

  • Pay Rate: $19.00/hour

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • A minimum of three months in an administrative, inventory, production or supply chain support role

  • Strong communication and mathematical skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • No immigration sponsorship available for this role

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to complete training and master skills that are required by position

  • Above average computer skills in mainframe or pc applications

  • Experience using a pallet jack

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

  • Experience with Total Production Management (TPM) & Continuous Improvement Systems

  • Strong attention to detail, good communicator and a team member

  • Ability to meet physical requirements of position

In the next 3 to 5 years the successful applicant should be open to relocation for promotion & career growth. Main Responsibilities: * Executes Supply Chain strategy TQM plans. Communicates & reinforces Logistics plans. Maintains clear communication & close co-operation with Customer Service, Materials Planning, Manufacturing, & major suppliers/vendors. Works with Quality, Planning, Manufacturing, Carriers & Customers to proactively avoid & resolve quality & service issues relating to logistics. * Coordinates operational redesign projects to improve performance & meet customer needs. Generates & implements innovations for logistical competitive advantage that improve performance. Implements Lean concepts & practices. * Monitors fixed assets & coordinates implementation of approved CARs. Assists in developing site logistics budget with focus on continuously improving year over year performance against metrics. * Supervises logistics activities (storage, shipping) including inventory control, warehousing, transportation, logistics planning, order processing & customer service. Communicates standard logistics metrics to direct reports. Resolves quality, service & cost issues. Supports oversight of DOH inventory levels.
