What you will be doing:

The Logistics Specialist will be a crucial part of the Supply Chain team at Luminys. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing all logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of products. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

What your primary responsibilities will be:

• Plan, schedule, and manage inbound and outbound shipments of products/goods to ensure timely delivery and execution

• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimize discrepancies.

• Collaborate with various vendors to optimize delivery schedules and negotiate favorable terms.

• Select and manage carriers, negotiate rates, and ensure compliance with transportation regulations.

• Prepare and maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including shipping documents, invoices, and other documentation.

• Analyze logistics costs and implement strategies to reduce expenses without compromising service quality.

• Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

• Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in logistics operations.

• Generate and analyze logistics reports to track performance metrics and support decision-making.

What you will need:

• Bachlor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Admin or related field.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or related field

• Proficiency in logistics software (SAP, Oracle, etc.)

• Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.

• Proven ability to resolve customer problems, complaints and issues utilizing appropriate internal and external resources

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric mindset

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time if needed

• May be required to stand for long periods of time

• Constantly operates a computer and possibly other work related machinery

• Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing, or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine including repetitive motions

• Constantly receiving detailed information through oral communication

• Constant talking, expressing, or exchanging ideas by means of verbal communication

• Constant clarity of vision at near and/or far distances

• May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and noise levels
