Job Description:

The Technical Writer and Change Manager will collaborate with a diverse team to support a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will act as a Change Management Champion by managing communication strategies both internal and external to Logistics and Raytheon. An extremely high level of communication skills will be required to effectively communicate various project strategy definitions, shorten communication cycle time, set clear expectations, ensure comprehension, and establish measurements of success. This position will be responsible for interfacing with Raytheon's Supply Chain personnel to manage, develop, review, update and audit Logistics policies and procedures, establish onboarding alignment including maintenance processes, and SharePoint site management. As a SharePoint administrator, this role will be responsible for developing a strategy for communicating with customers, gathering requirements, and managing the development and maintenance of sites. This position is located in Carrollton, TX.

This role will include, but is not limited to tasks like the following:

  • Change Management Champion responsible for managing Logistics communication and learning strategies

  • Author, create, edit, and present executive communications (internal and external to Logistics and Raytheon)

  • Collaborate with a diverse team to support fast-paced, critical programs

  • Manage Logistic policies, procedures, and technical writings; this will include development, review, update, measures of comprehension, and creating/performing the audit cycle process

  • Manage SharePoint site requirements including customer operational and usability requirements

  • Ensures ease of navigation and simplicity of communication designs

  • Communicate, network, evaluate risks and opportunities to success, and measure strategies and processes to stakeholders and upper management

  • Develop processes to shorten communication cycle time, ensure comprehension, and measure success

  • Collaborate with the technical team for continuous improvement, best practices, and knowledge sharing

  • Perform other assigned duties as business conditions and strategies require

Required skills:

  • 4 years of technical writing experience developing policies, procedures, or similar command media

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience developing news articles, monthly newsletter, executive messages, advanced PPT presentations, and infographics

  • Experience researching and analyzing complex technical material and breaking it down into concise, compelling copy that engages the reader

  • Experience developing and delivering presentation (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders

  • Experience drafting a variety of related technical documents which may include Business Cases, Enterprise Instructions, Work Instructions, Requirements Specifications, Design Documents, Test Plans, Training, RASCIs, Risk and Opportunity Analysis.

  • Innovative and creative with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders

  • Strong oral and written communication

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills

  • Strong teamwork, training, collaboration, customer service, and other interpersonal skills

Desired Skills:

  • Strong ability to lead others, organize, prioritize, multitask, and drive teams to meet deadlines

  • Engineering, Computer or Information Science or other applicable professional experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of SharePoint/InfoPath standards, usability standards, and accessibility standards

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain operations

  • Working knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator)

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing, computer science, engineering, or related field

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons
