What you'll be doing...

The Global Supply Chain is hiring a strategic thinker to join the GWC Operations. You will be part of a team that builds tools, analysis, and insights that informs, quantifies, and enables the supply chain to effectively partner with multiple organizations across Verizon including field operations, real estate, customer experience and 3rd party Logistics suppliers.

This is a job for a decisive, strategic and tactical leader. There will be a strong focus on managing and maintaining forward field depots supporting Verizon Business channels. Another key function of this role will be creating collaborative relationships with several suppliers and 3PLs.

The candidate will develop and lead broad projects and programs in support of the organization. These projects will require evaluating and understanding key business requirements, tracking financial impacts and operational concerns and reporting progress continuously.

  • Adjusting the demand plan (and ensuring adequate supply) for promotional and market factor

  • Resolve out-of-stock issues and proactively reduce product shortages

  • Drive deep analytics to optimize inventory, supply planning and replenishment practices

  • Forging key partner relationships with the Strategic Team, outside partners, internal stakeholders, and suppliers to develop and implement end-to-end solutions for Supply Chain

  • Design, implement and manage strategic programs focused on simplifying processes and reducing inventory carrying costs

  • Develop project cost modeling and business case inputs

  • Benchmark existing BAU service deliverables against new program service deliverables

  • Research emerging issues that are customer impacting or business impacting; Identify prompt resolution to these issues with root cause analysis, corrective actions across impacted systems or processes

  • As the business owner, manage the program once deployed and build a roadmap of features to promptly adapt to changes in business processes and procedures

  • Develop key strategic 3PL performance management KPIs to ensure 3PLs meet or exceed their deliverables

  • Ensure operational readiness for program launch and expansion

  • Ensure 3PL perform to contractual obligation regarding on-time shipping, order accuracy, inventory management, reporting and discrepancy resolution

This position will be an agent for change; leading cross-functional teams within various internal and external organizations, ensuring best practices are introduced and followed. Processes will be geared towards impacting the S&OP process to ensure efficiencies and a proper balance available inventory. This leader will utilize strong data analytics to drive their stocking strategy decisions.

The Manager will be responsible for successfully leading multiple high profile projects simultaneously, while having responsibility for decision-making and process implementation.

The candidate will be asked to identify areas of opportunity, as well as create and implement solutions that drive benefits to Verizon. The candidate should have significant leadership experience, as well as demonstrated successes driving cross-functional process improvement. The candidate will be the catalyst for driving continuous improvement while leading the day to day operations.

This is a high impact, highly visible, multi-market position in the Supply Chain organization.

What we're looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Two or more years of replenishment experience

  • Experience with SAP and replenishment systems

Even better if you have:

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain or related field.

  • Leadership

  • Highly developed leadership skills and ability to engage, influence, and develop collaborative partnerships with internal and external partners.

  • Ability to understand and think strategically and implement long term plans in parallel to day to day supply management, can handle both long term and short term goals simultaneously.

  • Strong problem solver with ability to resolve conflicts, assertive, good in both written and oral communications with ability to create and deliver executive presentations
  • Process Improvement Ability to drive continuous improvement; make recommendations for and lead change initiatives around policies, procedures and processes that will improve Supply Chain effectiveness.

  • Data Analysis Experience Ability to apply advanced analytic techniques such as optimization, simulation, data mining and statistics to design, implement, validate and refine mathematical models and algorithms to understand and optimize supply chain.

The Security Protection Services Senior Manager will serve as the technical lead for enterprise information security controls and related infrastructures both in Verizon data centers and public cloud offerings such as AWS, Google and Oracle. This position will provide day to day guidance and direction to a team of highly skilled system engineers with expertise in information security. This position will lead engineering and deployment of security related infrastructures including but not limited to Identity Management, Endpoint Management, Authentication, Authorization, Privileged Access Management and Data Protection. This is a working management position, requiring the candidate to both be technically proficient in multiple domains of security as well as demonstrating the ability to partner and collaborate with internal and external teams to mature Verizon's security posture. This manager will make decisions both autonomously and also with the counsel and support of the Director of Security Operations and be expected to create and implement complex infrastructure deployment plans in partnership with Security Architecture and Engineering. Partnering with IT, this manager will also ensure that the necessary documentation and automation exists to allow operations to sustain the controls and infrastructure at minimal total cost of ownership. The Protection Services Senior Manager will lead a team responsible for: * Working with architecture and engineering teams to deploy and integrate security infrastructures based on understanding of the risk within the Verizon enterprise. * Working with Verizon leadership to develop and document the integration plan for implementation based on risk and corporate/regulatory policy requirements. * Providing leadership and guidance during planning meetings and risk assessments ensuring team is providing services that follow accepted best practices in security, recognizing changes in threat vectors. * Developing best practice technical security requirements that focus on risk reduction through expert knowledge in technology and security controls. * Providing technical assessment of control deployment in IT, providing control implementation guidance, providing technical reviews of new products and influence corporate leaders to address compliance remediation through common control implementation. * Responsible for managing and developing a team of employees including hiring, training, development, performance management, administration, and workforce planning.
