Job Overview This position provides logistics section duties for Emergency Management.

Work Model: Onsite Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: Refer to allowance standard and the EM UTC equipment and supply lists for home-station and deployed equipment authorizations.

Use ARIS for tracking EM equipment accountability, maintenance, condition code, serviceability, periodic inspections, and calibration. (CDRL 1404) Develop budget inputs for CBRN non-medical responders, specialists, and EM equipment requirements. Review AF Technical Order (AFTO) Form 22, Technical Manual (TM) Change Recommendation and Reply, concerning CBRN defense technical orders and equipment submitted at the installation. Equip EM Flight response force members for EM operations.

Identify EM Flight requirements; account for equipment on-hand; maintain the equipment available; and develop a plan to obtain any missing equipment/items. Accomplish inspections, operations check, and document emergency response vehicles/trailers using the unit's established standards. Establish and maintain an account in the Enhanced Technical Information Management System.

Establish and maintain owner/user operator manuals for all EM response equipment not having an official, published technical order. Ensure EM equipment is stored, marked, serviced, and operated according to the applicable technical order or owner/user operator manual. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements Mandatory: Associate degree in Disaster/EM or four (4) years or more related field experience required at a minimum, All-Hazards Completion of AFEM Courses (JCAQP3E931 00AB) (J9AQA3E931 00RB), (J9AQA3E931 00RA), (JCABP3E931 01AA) or equivalent courses desired.

If member did not attend course above, prior attendance, at a minimum (J3AIRTXXXX 0B3A) or equivalent required.

Must retain instructor qualifications on EM-related courses annually from date hire or completion date of BIC thereafter. Experience with current EM related CBRN/HAZMAT response equipment and concepts of operation desired.

If no previous experience, must obtain all identified equipment qualifications, using Department of the AF provided qualification products/processes, within six months of hire and retain qualifications per associated guidance thereafter.

Knowledge regarding inventory management required and experience with Department of the AF supply system desired.

If member does not have Department of the AF equipment custodian training/certification prior to hire, member must obtain training/certification within three months after hire and maintained as required within program guidelines. Experience with the AF Automated Readiness Information System (ARIS) desired.

If member does not have ARIS experience prior to hire, member must obtain training/certification within three months after hire and maintain as required within program guidelines. Valid Alabama state Driver's License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.  Experience checking vehicle fluids and tire pressure to ensure proper operations required.

Experience operating and maneuvering a vehicle while towing a trailer desired. Knowledge regarding emergency response vehicle light and siren operations desired. Knowledge regarding vehicle operations on an active flight line desired.

If member is not qualified to operate/maneuver a vehicle while towing a trailer and/or operating a vehicle on an active flight line prior to hire, member must complete local training/qualification course(s) within three months of hire and must retain qualifications per associated guidance thereafter. All-Hazards Responder level certification within the AFCEM Program desired.

If certification not obtained prior to hire, member must complete certification process within program guidelines after hire.

Must be able to acquire and maintain a Secret Security clearance.   Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.  Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.

  Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.   Must be able to read, write and speak English. U.S.

Citizenship.
