Logistics Procurement Analyst

Ingredion is searching for a Logistics Procurement Analyst who will Identify, research, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet the global organization's standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply and provide analytical support services for the global procurement initiatives and projects.

Key Position Accountabilities / Responsibilities

• Analytically supporting the category managers in delivering capabilities capable of sustaining competitive advantage in safety, service, cost, and environmental.

• Future pipeline development of value creating opportunities in all North American Logistics Procurement categories, including bulk, van, LTL, rail modes.

• Evaluates multiple sources of market and industry data to make decisions in alignment with team's long-term strategy.

• Performs continuous improvement, including RFPs, Should-Cost Modeling Tools, Supplier Relationship Management, Negotiations, Industry/Supplier Intelligence, and Contractual Execution.

• Partner with Global Procurement Team to ensure processes and procedures are appropriately documented, updated, implemented, and audited.

• Actively identify opportunities and lead actions of continuous improvement through quantitative and qualitative data analysis.

• Provide support to Category and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Teams.

• Support opportunities in spend for cost reduction and avoidance that are attributable to the P&L and able to be audited by a Finance partner.

Qualified candidates will have the following skills & qualifications:

• 2 - 4 years of previous experience in procurement, analytics, logistics, or operations.

• Offer data supported, out of the box solutions to procurement challenges.

• Embrace change, quickly adapt to a dynamic work environment. Strong initiative to improve status-quo.

• Demonstrate initiative by proactively communicating how changes will affect stakeholders.

• Motivate others through an optimistic view of change and support colleagues through difficulties.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to function well as a team member or independently.

• Experience with e-sourcing tools including spend analytics and project and contract management.

• Experience in the drafting and negotiating of contracts.

• Strong project management skills with an emphasis on business processes.
