The Logistics Procure to Pay (P2P) Coordinator will provide enterprise-wide administration and production support for companywide freight payment databases and for directly managing and entering transactions that confirm pricing, delivery, and invoice approval as required. In addition, the P2P Coordinator will be required to update, maintain, troubleshoot, monitor and develop evaluation plans, training programs, policies and procedures.


  • Improve manual invoicing process for freight vendors.

  • Implement auto dray


Database Updating and Maintaining

  • Regularly updates document portal in Ascend's Logistics Transportation Management System (TMS).

  • Handles freight payment transactions in SAP and TMS systems

  • Interfaces with Finance to provide supporting financial information and documents

  • Troubleshoots spot rate issues

  • Communicates missing rates and/or information to Procurement and Operations

Database Performance Evaluation and Tuning

  • Develops and implements performance metrics and reporting for all aspects of the P2P cycle

  • Monitors databases using various performance monitoring tools in SAP and in the TMS

  • Communicates existing and/or potential performance issues to appropriate support groups

  • Recommends and implements changes or processes to improve performance levels

Problem Resolution/Avoidance

  • Provides problem recognition and resolution support to appropriate support groups and internal/external customers

  • Recognizes, designs, administers, or arranges continuing education programs for users

Proactive Support and Intervention

  • Provides support to appropriate support groups and internal/external customers

  • Maintains a high level of technical knowledge through education and training

Database Security

  • Protects the integrity of the database

  • Adheres to the published Corporate Security Standards for each Database Management System


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance or related field

  • 1-3 year working knowledge of logistics preferred

  • Understanding of SAP or ERP system preferred

  • Intermediate or advance proficiency in Excel


  • Strong analytical skills

  • Initiative, strong sense of urgency and the ability to handle many projects efficiently and successfully

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities

  • Strong written and oral communication

  • Strong systems and computer skills

Job Summary Responsible for monitoring and/or executing critical Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes for the Human Resources Department as well as providing Executive Support to VP of Talent Acquisition. Works closely with other Corporate departments to maintain alignment of P2P process. Location: Downtown Houston Essential Duties and Responsibilities Accounts Payable - P2P (Procure to Pay)Responsibilities: 80% ofyour time spent will be performing and optimizing various tasks mainly in ourProcure to pay process (P2P), budget development, tracking and reporting,general ledger reconciliation, journal entries and financial reporting forseveral departments within the HR function * Maintains a working knowledge of Accounts Payable andadheres to department policies and procedures. * Maintains appropriate knowledge of P2P policies and procedures * Provide support and verification with P2P purchases, inquires,questions, concerns * P2P Validation, allocation, reclassification and coding for P2P invoicesfor payment * Support request to create new vendors, update current vendors, andprovide vendor information when requested by the business * Review all dataagainst all P2P reports and changes need to be made * Update Journal Entries spreadsheet detailing what P2P charges areincorrect and indicate the new accounting detail for that charge. * Prepares complete and accurate journal entriesand forecasts of a moderately complex nature by the closing date on a monthlybasis. * Prepares reports (Monthly SmartView, GLActivity Reports, etc.) as required. Executive Support: 20% time ofyour time will be providing Executive Level Administrative support to the VicePresident of Talent Acquisition when required. * Coordinatefrequent travel arrangements * Prepare,reconcile, and track expense reports through T&E system * Coordinate allaspects of appointments, meetings, receptions, events and conference callsincluding video and maintain frequently changing calendars through Outlook * Proactivelyprevent and/or identify schedule or resource conflicts * Assist withcreation/modification of presentations, spreadsheets, and other variousdocuments * Serve asback-up support for other managers or administrative staff when required Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.
