About This Role:

ContainerPort Group, a World Group company, is currently looking for a dedicated, driven person to join our family as a Logistics Pricing and Procurement Analyst to join our growing corporate headquarters in Rocky River, Ohio, or our growing operations in Norfolk, Virginia!

The Logistics Pricing and Procurement Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Capacity Solutions pricing division by managing internal and external rate requests, conducting profitability analysis, maintaining pricing data, tracking carrier performance, collaborating with other divisions, and managing analytics projects. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all rate requests by prioritizing based on urgency and value.

  • Procure rates from carriers, conduct rate comparisons, and establish profitable sell rates for all new rate requests/RFPs.

  • Quickly respond to all pricing inquiries

  • Conduct regular analysis of rate data and report trends to the Pricing Manager.

  • Collaborate with key company stakeholders on new opportunities and the health of current accounts, identifying root cause and implementing solutions when necessary.

  • Negotiate rates with carriers to increase lane margins.

  • Establish and maintain master database for buy and sell rates for the Capacity Solutions division.

  • Conduct analytics projects including pulling, manipulating, and reporting data from creation of project to design and execution.

  • Assist with other carrier management tasks as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics Management, Business Administration, or similar (or 2 years of applicable job experience)

  • Demonstrated experience in pricing, analysis, and problem-solving.

  • Excellent with numbers

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
