LOGISTICS OPERATIONS MANAGER DMC/MORTUARY AFFAIRS (USARCENT-19-1713-W):
Bowhead seeks a Logistics Operations Manager DMC/Mortuary Affairs planner to join our team in support of the USARCENT mission. The Logistics Operations Manager DMC/Mortuary Affairs planner will manage a distribution/logistical operation, and synchronize the operations of all material, supply and movement management for ongoing logistical or sustainment operations within the Supply and Services. The Logistics Operations Manager DMC/Mortuary Affairs planner assists in Supply and Services/Mortuary Affairs maintaining situational awareness, internal support operations coordination, and coordination exchange and coordination with external organizations and agencies.
Essential functions will include:
Maintaining combat service support situational awareness through all means of information systems as the Logistics Operations Manager DMC/Mortuary Affairs planner is responsible for assisting the Theater Mortuary Affairs Office (TMAO) in all daily operations to include tracking and reporting the status of remains for the Afghan theater, in the Mortuary Affairs Reporting and Tracking System (MARTS), Single Mobility System (SMS) and Radio Frequency Identification Tag in Transit Visibility Tracking System (RFIDITV).
Assisting in the development, establishment, implementation, and monitoring of local and theater policies and procedures concerning distribution operations. The Logistics Operations Manager DMC/Mortuary Affairs planner does not establish theater priorities, but facilitates establishment.
Maintaining continuous liaison with other staff directorates, contractors, and commands within the AOR.
Maintaining uninterrupted operations of material flow and other goods to support the commander's intent, before, during and after any type of military operations within the theaters area of responsibilities. Maintaining situational awareness and reports.
Preparing distribution integration operational products, briefings and reports. These are locally generated reports and briefings associated with logistical or sustainment functions related to ongoing operations. The Logistics Operations Manager DMC/Mortuary Affairs planner must manage the production and consolidation of logistics operations and information products for internal use by support operations, 1st TSC or to provide to external organizations/agencies.
Assisting the TMAO with different organizations to provide transportation of remains and personal effects within and from the Theater AO, to include Alternate Processing and Correlations Center and Tanker Airlift Control Center (APCC/TACC).
Assisting the Theater Mortuary Affairs Officer in researching solutions to assist units to resolve problems concerning Mortuary affairs to include but not limited to receiving, safeguarding, processing and expeditious evacuation of human remains and personal effects of fallen soldiers, Coalition forces and Contractors and the roles and responsibilities of Summary Courts Martial Officers as it relates to the processing and shipping of Personal effects.
Distributing and synchronizing information collection and preparation across the DMC.
Assisting the TMAO with providing close coordination with MACP's and TMEP to procure and maintain required supply materials.
Receiving, interpreting, and making disposition (internal to 1st TSC) of Commander's Critical Information Requirement (CCIR) reports and Serious Incident Reports (SIR), will also be preparing and forwarding approved CCIR and SIR reports external to 1st TSC as directed by the Supply and Services Chief.
Accomplishing tasks and develop products supporting the mission of the Supply and Mortuary Affairs and support operations section as requested by the Supply and Services, the Support Operations Officer, Deputy Support Operations Officer, and the Distribution Management Center Chief. Gather and compile information and data as required from the support operations section, information systems and external organizations and agencies completing required tasks and products. These systems utilize satellite tracking capabilities for monitoring equipment and convoy movement along their routes for situational awareness.
Logistics operations should be performed IAW, but not limited to the following regulatory/doctrinal standards: FM 3-0 (Operations, February 2008), 4-0 (Combat Service Support), FM 4-93.4 (Theater Support Command),FM 5-0 (Army Planning and Orders Production), FM 6-0 (Mission Command: Command and Control of Army Forces), Modular Force Logistics Concept (MLFC) version 6,CENTCOM Regulations, 638 - 1, 638-2, FM 4-20.64 & current ARCENT and TSC orders.
Screening all incoming message traffic, copying messages of interest, and providing a copy to the TMAO and SPO.
Coordinating and synchronizing the DMC/Supply and Services/Mortuary Affairs maintaining awareness of the distribution systems and acting as the "fusion center" of information within the Supply and Services Branch, in close cooperation with the supply and services branch.

Requirements A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Management, Political Science, Logistics management or Computer Science or related field and a minimum of two (2) years of experience working in combined (i.e., multi-national) joint military and Government interagency organizations is required
Must have experience working on classified networks and interfacing with military staffs.
Must possess experience with DOD supply management and/or distribution management and systems; knowledge of army and other automation systems.
Must have prior experience with computer software/office applications and logistics operations
Must be proficient in Microsoft programs to including the ability to create charts in Power Point and Excel
Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office Professional Suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Publisher
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
