BASIC PURPOSE: This position would be responsible for managing daily operations for the Logistics Department.
BASIC POSITION DUTIES:
Fully manager all aspects of freight invoice processing.
Bi-annual budget creation, revision, presentation, and maintenance including departmental SG&A.
Report monthly review of budget versus actual variances and causes.
Manage all aspects of logistics related operations for Midwest Business Unit including freight tracing and tracking, expediting, carrier relations, cost analysis, planning, and information dissemination to other related departments.
Leadership role in Business Continuity program including managing all logistics related steps in any actionable occurrence.
Identify and implement initiatives with cost reduction potential. Manage cost reduction initiatives of direct reports.
Interface with design engineering and other related departments for new packaging development and existing packaging improvement.
Develop, improve and oversee invoice auditing process.
Bachelor's Degree required
8-10 years of experience in Logistics or related field required.
2-4 years of middle management supervisory experience.
Advanced computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint. Word, etc)
Effective interpersonal and communication abilities. Strong organizational and delegation skills.
High level of problem solving skills.
Business level Japanese and/or Spanish is preferred but not required.
Approximately 20% travel required.
