PRIMARY FUNCTION

Oversees and manages all logistics activities and related systems information in manufacturing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to supply chain services; inventory control; or critical parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, shipment of products from place of origin to point of delivery, third-party warehousing, and shipping/receiving activities.

Managing warehouse through subcontractor, manage shipments through a subcontractor, managing with economic efficiency.

Interface with Global Logistics, UPS, manufacturing department, communications center and service department
80% independent, 20% team

Understands ERP, SAP, any enterprises systems and office applications

Travel may be required

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Logistics, Business Administration or Industrial Engineer preferred
10 years logistics experience

Experience in warehouse and international shipping

Data warehouse experience is preferred

Change agent

Initiate and improve processes

Good communication

Stabilize process

Solve conflict

Strong computer skills

Lifting up to 50 lbs.

Duties & Responsibilities * Responsible for developing, documenting, and executing a logistics and warehousing strategic plan which will drive optimal customer service and inventory levels. * Manage and optimize a warehouse that ships globally. * Ability to plan and implement projects to improve warehouse and transportation efficiencies. * Establish and communicate metrics that are consistent with the logistics and warehousing strategy. * Provide forecast projections for space utilization. Identify and resolve any capacity issues. * Ensure that logistics and warehouse functions are performed in a timely, efficient, and cost effective manner consistent with established corporate and customer requirements. * Develop, implement and sustain processes to reduce costs and improve customer service. Develop and communicate metrics to support these efforts. * Develop and implement efficient and effective facility processes, policies and procedures. * Assure a positive work environment by focusing on morale, associate relations, and administering discipline in a consistent manner. Skills & Abilities * 5-7 years' experience managing logistics/warehousing in a comparable environment. * In-depth knowledge of business, logistics and transportation * Knowledge of logistics related environmental and safety regulations and practices. * Advanced PC computer proficiency: Distribution Management Software, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc. * Strong analytical skills * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and generate results in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.Strong organizational skills. * Written and oral communication skills; presentation and training skills. * In-depth interpersonal skills: demonstrated ability to relate to different cultures, language, and people, resolve problems and conflicts and demonstrate trust and integrity. * Demonstrated team and individual leadership skills: decision-making, analytical, customer service and organization skills. * Experience with LTL, FTL, Air, small package and/or Ocean transportation * Experience with air-freight and critical delivery situations a plus Equality In Return RB offer very competitive salaries with excellent benefits and the chance to progress your career within a truly global organization!
