Duties

Summary

About the Position: Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist within the Logistics Readiness Center analyzing data and trends, providing recommendations improving logistical operations that are inclusive of the areas of support for which the Logistics Readiness Center is the proponent such as supply, transportation, maintenance, procurement, and services.

This position is a Temporary appointment not to exceed one year. This position may be extended for a total of 3 years.

Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance to civilian and military personnel engaged in planning, coordinating and executing logistical plans, documents, policies, and procedures.
Analyze logistical requirements.
Prepare logistical plans and annexes for selected units.
Coordinate logistical support to selected Reserve and Mobilized Reserve Component Units located within the installation's area of responsibility
Administer the Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL) and Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP) for selected activities and special staff.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing work serving analyzing logistical requirements, forecasting logistical plans and annexes for the installation, contingency, movement, mobilization and disaster plans, providing recommendations improving logistical operations in areas such as supply transportation, maintenance, procurement, and services (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such degree or LL.M in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
