About the Position: You will provide logistics services support to the Division Headquarters in the following program areas: Transportation, Facilities and Services, Personal Property Maintenance, and Supply. Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of logistics programs and or operations, and resolves difficult issues and problems in the logistics program.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the logistics program for the Division HQ.

  • Implements new programs as required.

  • Analyzes usage reports and determines the number and type of vehicles required throughout the Division.

  • Coordinates replacement vehicles as required.

  • Reviews reports of usage and detects any potential misuse of vehicles.

  • Ensures all vehicles are properly maintained and readily available.

  • Coordinates the facilities and services programs within the Division HQ.

  • Reviews space management, utilization requirements, and energy consumption levels.

  • Anticipates increases/decreases in staffing levels to maintain optimum usage of facilities.

  • Resolves maintenance issues to include janitorial/custodial services, maintenance, utility systems, security and alterations.

  • Coordinates the supply program within the Division HQ, ensuring appropriate levels of supplies at all times.

  • Analyzes usage of supplies and equipment, noting any unusual trends.

  • Investigates discrepancies and resolves differences.

  • Oversees the bar-coding program and ensures periodic inventories are completed.

  • Knowledge of software systems such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and spreadsheets is preferred.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work of this job.

GS-11 Specialized experience is defined as: includes work that involves providing logistics support, planning and analysis in the following areas: Transportation, Facilities and Services, Personal Property Maintenance and Supply; analysis and evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency of logistics programs and/or operations; and the resolution of difficult issues and problems in the logistics program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement GS-09: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

Time in Grade Requirement GS-11: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).

Education

GS-9 Education substitution for experience: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

GS-11 Education substitution for experience: Successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Under the I2TS 3 task order, INSCOM ensures reliable, uninterrupted availability of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) including: networks, hardware, software, engineering, and specialized tools at the point of customer need to support INSCOM's mission. INSCOM and its MSCs provide the enabling layer to connect the Army and its tactical formations to defense and national intelligence agencies via tactical networks. The ability to provide mission critical intelligence is dependent on the successful use of its information technology (IT) networks worldwide.
