Summary

About the Position: The Watervliet Arsenal is an Army-owned & operated manufacturing center located in NY. It is the oldest, continuously active arsenal in the United States having begun operations in 1813. Today it is relied upon by U.S. and foreign militaries to produce the most advanced, high powered weaponry for cannon, howitzer & mortar systems. The Arsenal is the only location in the DoD that has a weapons research facility (Bent Labs) collocated with a manufacturing facility (Arsenal).
Responsibilities

Responsible for the development, evaluation and implementation of strategies for the execution of the Property Book Office (PBO) operations and the Command Equipment Management (EM) Program.
Interpret higher command regulations/policies and provides supplemental implementing guidance to Watervliet Arsenal customers.
Serve as the Senior Action Officer on a team engaged in planning and execution of logistics projects or studies required to support the Property Book Office Operations, Equipment Management Program, and Vehicle Fleet Management programs.
Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
