Summary:

Chenega Professional & Technical Services (CPTS) is seeking a Logistics Management Specialist to support the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Laboratory Division (LD) Asset Management Group (AMG).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload trucks and other transporting devices.

  • Unpack, shelve, and place items in proper location.

  • Transport goods using a motor vehicle, hand truck, cart, pallet jack, and/or forklift.

  • Use subject matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of stocking and maintaining an inventory of materials used to meet the Laboratory Division's mission.

  • Select from alternative methods and refers problems not solvable by adapting or interpreting substantive guides, manuals, or procedures. Typical duties include but are not limited to: assisting in a variety of manual labor activities while helping sustain a base line office and laboratory supply area, entering information regarding accountable property in inventory databases, and assisting Laboratory Division employees by locating inventory items when requested.

  • Maintain a close and highly responsive relationship to the Task Lead and AMG staff while performing daily AMG activities. Works fairly, independently, receiving a minimum of supervision and guidance. Performs varied manual labor intensive duties that require inventory management functions.

Minimum Qualifications:
(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • High school diploma.

  • Three (3) years of related experience with one year of specialized experience in one or more of the following: Space Management, Space Planning, Move Management Facility Planning, Facility Management, Logistics Management, Project Management, Space Management Database Entry and Query, OSHA 1910, NFPA 101. Five (5) years of experience is preferred.

  • Minimum of one year of experience in the following software: Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio, Adobe Acrobat, and CAD.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Communicates effectively, orally and in writing.

  • Experience with various software systems such as Windows 2013, WordPerfect, and Excel. Also, must be familiar with inventory and asset databases.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required, and the ability to work independently.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, research skills, and attention to detail.

  • Must be able to perform physical tasks to transport and stock that are within the purview of AMG.

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds.

The successful candidate will serve an important role in protecting dynamic government mobile networks in support of critical incident response and investigations. The ISSO will have a number of responsibilities to include the following: * Ensure Government Information Systems (IS's) are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with approved security policies and practices. * Ensure a process for managing changes in user access to IS's (as required access and need-to-know change) and for terminating user access when it is no longer required or authorized, according to established policy requirements. * Ensure general users and privileged users are trained in the specific knowledge needed for them to safely operate and maintain the IS's to which they have access, including general security awareness and specialized privileged user training * Disseminate, control, and manage the issuance of user identifications and passwords for assigned ISs, and provide authorized lists to appropriate system administrators. * Develop, implement, and enforce information systems security policies. * Ensure that system security requirements are addressed during all phases of the IS lifecycle * Ensure implementation of a Configuration Management Plan (CMP) for software, hardware, and firmware is documented and maintained, and serve as a member of the Configuration Management Board, with Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and System Owner concurrence. * Manage the review and release of media and/or memory components. * Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs) and all other system security documentation, reviewing and updating them at least annually for all assigned systems. * Author or coordinate the development of other required system plans: Configuration Management Plan (CMP), Contingency Plan (CP), Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) (as required), and Incident Response Plan (IRP). * Support risk assessment and evaluation activities throughout the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) or site accreditation process. * Implement a strategy for continuous monitoring, including: * Establish audit trails, ensuring their review and reporting all identified security findings * Initiate a procedure for periodic review of security controls * Make audit reviews available, when required, to the ISSM or Chief Security Officer (CSO). Retain audit logs in accordance with established policy * Conduct self-assessments of assigned ISs at least annually or at ISSM direction, coordinating with other system administrator or security personnel, as necessary * Request or conduct required IS vulnerability scans according to established guidelines * Provide or support development of Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) in response to reported vulnerabilities. Manage the risks to the IS and other Bureau assets by coordinating appropriate correction or mitigation actions, and oversee and track the timely completion of the POA&Ms. Provide liaison with System Owner and other IS personnel, and coordinate System Owner concurrence for correction or mitigation actions * Integrate findings with corporate Insider Threat programs and monitoring processes; respond to insider threat requests for analysis pertaining to supported systems * Ensure compliance with annual Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) deliverables and reporting, if required for assigned ISs * Ensure security awareness and precautionary measures are exercised to prevent introduction and/or proliferation of malicious code or other adverse IS conditions. This includes exercise of continuity and/or disaster recovery plans, as required * Initiate, with ISSM or CSO approval, protective and corrective measures when a security incident or vulnerability is discovered. Monitor IS recovery processes and ensure proper restoration of IS security features * Oversee IS recovery processes for all unplanned outages, including Disaster Recovery and initiation of the CP, whether actual or exercise * Advises the System Owners regarding security considerations in the various applications * Serves as a resource for users concerning all security questions regarding assigned systems and applications * Works closely with the System Administration to maintain the various system and application certifications and accreditations (C&A) status * Ensure that all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, and need-to know before granting access to the IS, and administer/witness signing of user agreements and or Rules of Behavior * Research and maintains knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) policies and practices, seeking clarification from the ISSM or higher authority when needed, and disseminates these to users * Support the implementation of a Government Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) system, to include Authority to Operate paperwork from both customer and other government agency approval chains.
