Follow-up and work with individuals performing a variety of duties to include clerical administrative requirements, coordinate the shipment of outgoing domestic and international shipments, receipt of incoming material parts, equipment, material handling , packaging for Mil-Spec / special customer required packaging, shipment/packaging of hazardous material.

Works from and maintains applicable certifications with the Department of Transportation (DOT), International Air Transportation Association (IATA), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) , Automated Commercial Environment US Customs (ACE), U.S. Government Military Specifications, and various other packaging and shipping standards. Also works with Requests to Ship, Receivers, Packing Slips, International Customs Documents, Bills of Lading, etc., oral instructions, moving, transferring, delivery and /or distribution or parts, assemblies, small machinery, equipment, supplies, materials, etc.

Schedule shipments of Finished Goods (FG) to meet customer due dates. Manage finished goods inventory, packaging, supplies and dunnage. Manages off site warehouse, tool storage and customer tooling audits. Manage the receipt of procured raw materials and outside contracting services. Responsible for freight invoice approval and GL coding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages team with a safety first mindset.

  • Prepare and process documents daily to ensure all shipments meet customer order due dates.

  • Assures that all Domestic and International orders are correctly documented / packaged, identified with proper customer and US and Foreign Government regulations.

  • Receive finished goods into Epicor inventory maintaining S/N/lot traceability.

  • Generate packing slips, bills of lading and manifests.

  • Generate packing slips for subcontract shipments and miscellaneous shipments.

  • Ensure all required documents are included with shipments, including CofC, inspection data, etc.

  • Ensure all customer specific packaging and shipping requirements are met.

  • Schedule Freight carriers

  • Utilize customer portals to monitor inventories on line to meet fill rates when required by customer.

  • Ability to complete ASN via customer interface.


  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED.

  • Must be able to learn all computer software and hardware required for the position.

  • Must be able to learn shipping and receiving forms and procedures.

  • Must have good mathematical skills.

  • Must be able to learn and perform all of the company's material transaction processes.

  • Must have excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills to effective communicate with all coworkers, vendors and shipping company contacts.

  • Must be able to communicate in a manner that is friendly, open courteous and professional

  • Must be detail-oriented

  • Must have the ability to set and modify priorities in order to meet the changing organizational needs.

  • Must be self-organized and flexible

  • Must be team oriented and have a commitment to provide internal/external customer satisfaction.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to work overtime, all shifts, and weekend if necessary.

  • Must be willing to assertively any personal or work related conflict that hinders the operation of the organization.

  • Must be able to successfully pass a drug/alcohol screening test and physical examination that will assess applicable physical abilities needed to perform essential element of the job.
