A logistics company in the northern metro is looking for a Logistics Customer Service Representative to handle communication with carriers to ensure shipments are picked up and delivered smoothly and on time. They are looking for someone with relevant experience in a customer service role ? transportation, shipping, logistics preferred. Essential Job Functions include: ? Manage dispatch including contacting customers and carriers to meet their pick-up and delivery needs ? Work with Account Managers to coordinate freight planning and scheduling ? Gather carrier costs for pricing ? Identify opportunities to upsell additional shipments for the customers ? Negotiate freight rates and book loads with carriers while complying with the company?s safety standards ? Secure, maintain and enhance current and new working-relationships with the carriers and customers ? Answer customers? questions and resolve issues regarding shipments and billings ? Provide status updates on customers? shipments


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: ? Must have 3+ years of relevant experience in a customer service role ? transportation, shipping, logistics preferred ? Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, dependable and have a positive attitude ? Must be able to actively listen and convey information well to others both orally and in writing ? Muset be able to learn and think quickly while adapting in a fast-paced environment ? Prior logistics software experience a huge plus ?
