This position is to fill the role of Logistics Coordinator, which will be responsible for managing the relationship with internal and external Under Armour customers, transportation providers, and Under Armour's DH teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison for the day to day tactical execution between UA business unit, customer service, shipping, IT and logistics

  • Drive effective warehouse management through process improvements from collaboration with DH teams.

  • Identify and lead projects to implement procedures to reduce cost, transit time, and complexities, as well as, improve system accuracy/compliance.

  • Develop user friendly reports and presentations to communicate performance against key KPIs and completed projects, effectively.

  • Collaborate with key internal and external partners to develop action plans for improvement on opportunities identified.

  • Measure freight costs and key carrier performance metrics.

  • Monitor and update systems to ensure information is consistent across all systems.

  • Plan and execute operational tasks to support peak shipping periods.

  • Daily communication with logistics and transportation partners to ensure that our customers are receiving the services that were agreed upon.

  • Partner with IT to solve technical issues and implement/test new systems and processes.

  • Identify and actively solve shipment delays.

Educations and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 1+ years of transportation related experience preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

  • SAP knowledge a plus

  • WM (Manhattan) knowledge a plus

Currently we are recruiting for the position of Logistics Coordinator at our Fleischmann's Vinegar Plant in Chicago, IL. Position: Logistics Coordinator Location: Chicago, IL POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinates and directs the final preparation and shipping of all out-bound goods, bulk and LTL, in order to make pickups and deliveries in an efficient and timely manner. Handles all related administrative duties. Manages activities of purchasing all packaging materials at the optimal price and delivery cycle while maintaining lowest possible inventory levels. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times. * Respond promptly to customer inquiries. * Communicate with customers through various channels. * Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints. * Thorough understanding of all products in order to answer questions. * Process orders, forms, applications and requests. * Manage data base of customer interactions, transactions, comments and complaints. * Open communication and coordination with colleagues as necessary. * Route and schedule in-bound freight. * Select and contract with common carriers for bulk and LTL shipments. * Route and schedule in-bound freight. * Negotiate rate with common carriers to ensure that lowest possible freight charges are incurred. * Audit all freight charges; file claims on overcharges, shortage and damages. * Maintain accurate records on the movement of goods. * Works closely with Customer Service Representatives to insure customer needs are met. * Manage activities of purchasing packaging materials. * Maintain lowest possible inventory levels on raw materials and packaging materials. * Work with Quality and Customer Service to handle any customer complaints. Including investigation and completing corrective action reports * Prepare recommendations as appropriate. * Perform other related tasks as assigned. * Other duties as required and requested by Corporate offices. Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus in Logistics is preferred. Preferred Experience 8-15 years years experience in food or related manufacturing is required Experience in 2 -4 years of fermentation (Wine, beer, ethanol etc.) is preferred.
