Responsibilities:

  • Shipment Processing
  • Coordinate and schedule the transportation of goods to customers and other company locations.
  • Carrier Coordination
  • Communicate with freight carriers to arrange pick-ups, deliveries. Maintain relationships with transport providers to ensure smooth transportation operations and reliable service.
  • Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
  • Documentation
  • Prepare and manage all shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, and customs paperwork for international shipments.
  • Tracking and Tracing
  • Monitor the status of shipments, track delivery progress, and update relevant stakeholders on any delays or issues.
  • Inventory Management
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by coordinating with the warehouse team for shipping and receiving activities.
  • Compliance
  • Ensure all shipping activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including import/export laws and safety standards.
  • Problem Solving
  • Address and resolve shipping issues, such as delays, damaged goods, and discrepancies in shipment details.
  • Customer Service
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing and transportation-related inquiries/issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Cost Management
  • Monitor and control shipping costs, striving for cost-effective solutions without compromising service quality.
  • Technology Utilization
  • Use shipping software and systems to manage and track shipments, generate reports, and maintain shipping records.
  • Database
  • Maintain and update logistics databases and records

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Proven experience in logistics coordination or related role.

  • Strong understanding of transportation and logistics processes

  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Position is required to get forklift certified

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle pressures of deadlines and high work volumes.

  • Ability to problem solve, prioritize work and switch directions as needed based on business demands.

  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards

  • Experience in manufacturing processes and stocking system

  • Teamwork is essential, must be willing to work closely and effectively communicate with co-workers

  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions

  • Must have the initiative to identify, communicate, and correct problems, as well as adapt to change

  • Must be able to work overtime or "off shift" work hours, as required

  • Must be willing to perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Word

Work Environment:

  • This position works in a manufacturing environment

  • Demands prolonged exposure to outdoor and non-climate controlled area

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs (22.7kg) maximum occasionally with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs (11.3kg).

  • Involves: lifting, long periods of standing, frequent stopping and bending

  • This position routinely uses standard office equipment

The base pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.89. If you are hired, your base pay rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base pay range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued wage growth.
