Logistics Coordinator

Our company is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to dispatch our drivers to customer locations, as well as manage third party freight relationships to move freight from military installations across the US. The successful candidate for this position will have extensive experience in dispatching trucks, excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and have a working knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS).

In this role you'll:

• Schedule & plan pre-determined routes to internal drivers or third-party freight partners to make pickup and deliveries according to property removal schedule

• Communicate with internal customers and third-party partners about freight details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests

• Maintain records of dispatched calls, driver routes, route changes, as well as delivery and pickup times in TMS

• Prepare dispatch documents, as well as generating freight bills and invoices where applicable, weekly, on Fridays

• Serve as a liaison between different departments and people; and be a dedicated support to internal drivers

• Monitor truck repairs and maintenance schedules provided by Fleet Maintenance Specialist.

Here's what you bring:

• High School Diploma required (or GED/High School Equivalency Certificate is acceptable)

• Bachelor's or associate degree in transportation or logistics would be advantageous; a combination of education and/or experience in lieu of degree.

• 2+ verifiable years of experience as a truck dispatcher in a similar industry

• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

• Experience with Transportation Management Software (TMS), such as Samsara and Rose Rocket

• Extensive experience in customer services, as well as generating freight bills and invoices.

• Exceptional ability to schedule drivers, plan routes, and dispatch drivers to customer locations.

• Thorough documentation of relevant information pertaining to deliveries and/or dispatches

• Proficiency in office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook
