Logistics Coordinator

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating inbound & outbound

shipments by communicating with internal and external teams. The following outlines the

primary duties and responsibilities for this position.

Job responsibilities:

Obtain competitive shipping quotes from carriers and make awards

Ensure projects are being shipped at or below budgeted costs

Communicate all shipping costs to the Materials Supervisor and/or Project Manager

Verify and prepare items for safe transit for outbound shipments

Coordinate, schedule, and communicate outbound shipments with internal and external

teams

Prepare all shipping paperwork/documents including bill of ladings and packing slips

Verify proper materials are loaded onto the truck and obtain required signatures

Maintain electronic and physical records of shipments

Review, approve, and process freight invoices using our invoice system

Order skids/pallets for each shipment

Coordinate and communicate any changes to ship dates in a timely manner

Load and unload trucks using a forklift and/or crane

Take photos of loaded trucks to prevent damage claims

Must learn and adhere to all safety policies and practices to avoid safety incidents

Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.

• 3+ years' experience required

• Ability to walk, stand and be physically active for extended periods of time.

• Ability to learn computer systems, databases and a variety of software programs.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.

• Ability to multi-task with attention to detail.

• Ability to maintain an organized work area.

• Must be self-motivated and proactive

• Ability to read blue prints.

• Forklift experience preferred.

• Crane experience preferred
