What you will do:

Provide Logistics support by efficiently communicating details between plants, brands, suppliers, customers and carriers for cost effective on-time deliveries for all modes.

How you will do it:

Create metrics, analysis, and prepare reports for logistics performance improvements and measures.

Develop processes to maintain & improve efficiency within the logistics network.

Work with brands, plants, suppliers, customers and carriers to coordinate expedites, inbound shipments, returns, international shipments, reconsignments, and intercepts.

Obtaining rate quotes to identify the most cost effective method to transport shipments.

Identify carriers that provide competitive rates in conjunction with good service.

Identify the root cause of shipment issues and develop alternative solutions for current and future purposes. Resolve issues which arise due to incorrect addresses and refused shipment.

Audit and resolve freight bill exception items.

Maintain and organize international documentation log and files for company compliance requirements.

Other duties as assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree required in Logistics / Supply Chain Management or Business Management, from an accredited four-year College or University; and/ or five or more years of related experience and/or training within a manufacturing/plant environment; logistics or transportation skills for scheduling shipping and receiving times experience.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate knowledge of MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word, MS PowerPoint Word Processing software. Oracle CRM, Oracle Transportation Management, AS400 MACPAC, Tableau knowledge a plus.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, cost per lb, cost per shipment, sales percentages, and shipment volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Job Summary The Logistics Sourcing Category Manager shall develop cost effective Ericsson-wide category strategies that are based on cross-functional requirements & business needs in both the North America Market Area & across Global Business Units. The Logistics Category Manager is accountable for creating a category strategy, supplier selection, supplier business intelligence, benchmarking practice, commercial negotiations, category market knowledge, establishing a cost effective & competitive market place that optimizes Ericsson's supplier business. The role is also responsible for the Preferred Supplier List & internal compliance to it. The role requires collaboration and alignment with other Market Area Sourcing teams as well as the centralized Logistics Category Global Team. Through alignment & opportunities from Sourcing & stakeholders, sustainable solutions fulfilling stakeholder requirements, policies, laws & regulations shall be secured. Responsibilities & Tasks * Strategic Sourcing: Negotiate, manage, coordinate, and drive sourcing activities for Logistics Services, including preparing RFx, managing the process, analyzing competitive bids, awarding suppliers and coordinating call-off implementation. * Spend Management and Analytics: Analyze spend data, internal requirements, and category market research to develop category strategies and plans aligned with the business stakeholders. * Legal and Contracts: Work closely with Legal to redline and negotiate commercial contracts including service agreements, statements of work and amendments. * Program Management: Drive cross-functional projects and programs involving suppliers. Build strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, functions – Legal, Finance, Supply, Sales and Suppliers. * Expert on sourcing best practices, guide stakeholders and drive projects with the goal of sourcing with the best total cost of ownership. Prime focus is on sourcing skills related to Logistics services which includes: Contract Logistics (transportation, warehousing), International Freight, Customs Clearance, Reverse Logistics and Parcel Services. Experience with Logistics business models, pricing strategies in a tech company is a plus.
