Logistics Coordinator, Air Export
1 PM to 9 PM, Monday through Friday
On-site: Gardena, California

In Gardena, California, our U.S. International Logistics team is seeking a Logistics Coordinator with 2-4 years' experience in Airfreight Forwarding for the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
Overall Mission
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for organizing international shipments in line with temperature-control requirements and the Group QA & EHS policies. This role is accountable for the most appropriate transport solution in accordance with the CRYOPDP premium service offer and the customer's requirements: route, sustainable mode of transport (air, train, road, multimodal), transit time and cost.
Main Contribution, to provide operational excellence
Communicate daily with warehouse staff to provide packaging and related services
Coordinate all activities related to cargo pick up from any point in the U.S. and delivery to ports of export, request bookings with airlines, AES filing, export documentation (commercial Invoices, etc.)
Preparation of import/export documentation in accordance with U.S. regulations and in compliance with government agencies for each shipment
Utilizing in-house systems to produce shipping documentation
Coordinate routing of all outbound export shipments and send pre-alerts to destination offices and agents in a timely manner
Job file invoicing/billing (transfer all the information required for ensuring the accuracy of the billing process)
Operational housekeeping, to ensure the shipping file is updated accordingly; including but not limited to Post Flights, PODs, Docstore (internal archiving system)
Entering consignment notes into TMS
Monitoring shipment progress/update milestone in TMS
Liaise with CRYOPDP vendors for updates, cost, routing options etc.
TCP and TCV recognition and management
Ensure the growth of retained customers to maximize / increase amount of business carried for every customer
Manage all queries complaints are investigated and responded to promptly, both from external, internal customers and suppliers
Guarantee efficient response to customer issues & complaints.
Showcase unique service features of CRYOPDP to increase value added solutions to customers
Increase dependency for customers to ensure CRYOPDP are the sole provider they use across all modes
Meet administrative KPI's
On time-in-full service performance %
Number of temperature deviations
Number of airline and customs delays
Number of CAPAs (Corrective Action Preventive Action)
Internal stakeholders and customers feedback
Specificity on the job
Work schedule is 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, 4 PM to Midnight
Standard shift is Monday to Friday, but due to the nature of our 24/7 operation you will be required to assist with occasional out of hours cover.
Start times may vary.
Work hours and shifts are subject to change depending on operating business conditions and needs.
Employee may be required to work overtime, holidays or weekends.
Must be available to respond to emergencies as a first responder.
Specific experience & knowledge required for this role:
2-4 years' experience in Airfreight Forwarding for the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
Proficiency in CargoWise preferred
Interpersonal skills ("Essentials")
Compliant with GDP, HMRC, MHRA, IATA, CAA guidelines.
Knowledge in dangerous goods regulations, passenger and cargo airlines.
Import/Export license and demonstrate experience with Controlled Drugs.
U.S. Customs regulations compliance
Commercial acumen (customers/performance profitability)
