Summary

Responsible for coordinating freight activities in Canada including equipment control, rail, vessel, maintenance & repair, truck dispatching, estimates, invoicing and planning.No budgetary or supervisory responsibilities.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReview, reconcile, and maintain freight handling equipment inventory daily in Canada, and updating company computer system (TLINK) with daily activity.Review and maintain freight handling equipment movements on RAIL and update internet RAIL computer system as required.Verify accuracy of freight and handling equipment, rail, trucking, warehousing billing and approve invoices for payment.Review and input maintenance and repair invoices and pre-trips in company computer system (FLEETWAVE),Manage container flows as related to schedules and deadlines.Coordinate operational duties as required for sourcing TRUCK/RAIL/WAREHOUSING and identify process improvement opportunities and quantify the associated costs and benefits.Analyze existing network and recommend/execute changes to drive freight costs down.Collaborate with other departments and cross-functional teams to manage, service, and grow customer relationships.Performs all other assigned duties.EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.EXPERIENCE: One to two years experience in Logistics preferred.LICENSE: Valid Canadian Driver's License and valid Passport.TRAVEL: 5% Travel to Tropical locations.PHYSICAL: Operations- Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer or handheld. Ability to frequently twist, bend, reach, squat, kneel, climb on equipment, push/pull 50 pounds, crawl, lift and carry at least 80 pounds on a daily basis. Able to withstand constant exposure to extreme weather conditions. Ability to travel in various modes of transportation (e.g. automobile, airplane, train etc.) Occasionally exposed to outside elements during the course of traveling.LANGUAGE: English
