The Logistics & Supply Chain Coordinator will plan, execute, and drive continuous improvement in logistics operations functions including truck, rail, intermodal, trans-loading, inventory management, and export for multiple US Milling facilities.
Responsible for assigned areas transportation planning and execution which will include: selecting & evaluating carriers, coordination with sales on customer needs, and coordination with production plants on product availability.
Execute shipment planning in SAP, monitor shipment activity, and reconcile/communicate any discrepancies.
Manage freight payable account and reconcile discrepancies.
Maintain system data and records to ensure data integrity and process adherence.
Manage freight P&L for assigned areas.
Coordinate between sales, accounting, and transportation planners to resolve accrual and expense variances related to freight.
Monitor and capture detention and demurrage charges.
Assist in administration of freight rate quotes to support sales and supply chain teams.
Work with railroad operations and local plant operations to resolve service issues.
Cross train on multiple areas and supply chain functions.
Other Supply Chain duties and special projects as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related discipline.
0 to 3 years of related experience
Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload
Ability to multitask and work effectively under time constraints
Competency in Microsoft Excel
Experience in SAP or other ERP system, Rate Management or TMS systems are preferred
Ability to travel up to 20%
