Barton is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator. This job will work a hybrid remote/in-office schedule two days/week will be in our Glens Falls, NY Corporate Headquarters.

Job Summary
Coordinates the accurate fulfillment of customer related orders, customer returns, and other related shipments. Partners with customer service and sales to understand and ensure customer requirements are met. Works closely with carriers, the company's production centers, the company's inventory manager, customers, and 3PL warehouses to execute shipments on a timely basis.
Position Responsibilities
Coordinates transportation of orders to ensure prompt and accurate movement of shipments, utilizing the company's Transportation Management System (TMS) software.
Selects the best method of transportation identifying freight rates and transit times.
Monitor, tracks and resolves customer shipments issues.
Generates return authorizations; coordinates with the customer, carrier, and warehouse for pickup and return of the product.
Provides freight quotes to customers, sales, and customer service.
Accurately prepares shipping and customer required documentation.
Reconciles freight invoices from carriers to ensure billing accuracy and resolves invoicing errors working with the carriers.
Files and tracks freight claims with carriers to ensure proper reimbursement.
The ideal candidate should have:
High school diploma or GED, associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Three years logistics, transportation, order fulfillment or related experience.
Export logistics experience preferred.
Computer proficiency including word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, and generating reports using standard software applications.
Basic knowledge of order fulfillment practices.
